ingredients

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup mayo (low fat or regular)
  • 1/2 tsp salt + a few cracks of black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 3–4 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1/2 tsp salt + black pepper to taste

directions

  1. 1 Heat the teriyaki chicken in a pan covered with foil until warm.
  2. 2 In a bowl, mix apple cider vinegar, olive oil, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper to make the slaw dressing.
  3. 3 Add shredded cabbage to the dressing and mix until covered.
  4. 4 Once the chicken is warm, add homemade barbecue sauce to it.
  5. 5 Toast the sandwich buns in a toaster, optionally adding butter on top.
  6. 6 Assemble the sandwiches by placing the barbecue chicken on the toasted buns, adding coleslaw if desired, and topping with avocado.
