broiled maple bacon

This is honestly the only way I make bacon anymore. Crispy, caramelized, takes about 10 minutes.

total time 5 min
servings 4-6 servings

ingredients

  • Beck Ranch bacon slices, (thin cut or regular)

directions

  1. 1 Set your oven to broil on high. Position the rack about 6 inches from the heating element. Line a sheet pan with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. 2 Lay 12 Beck Ranch bacon slices in a single layer on the prepared sheet pan. Broil until the edges start to curl.
  3. 3 Flip the bacon and broil until it's just starting to crisp.
  4. 4 Flip the bacon once more, then drizzle pure maple syrup evenly over each slice.
  5. 5 Return the pan to the oven and broil until the maple syrup caramelizes and the bacon is deeply golden and crispy. Watch closely — it can go from perfect to burned fast!
  6. 6 Transfer to a wire rack and let rest for 2 minutes. It will crisp up even more as it cools. One bite and you will have died and gone to heaven.
  7. 7 Notes: Every broiler runs a little differently, don’t ever leave the bacon unattended! It goes from perfect to burnt in a matter of seconds!
