ingredients

  • Beck Ranch ground beef
  • Beck Ranch bacon
  • Brioche buns
  • American or Colby Jack cheese
  • Crisp lettuce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Hickory sauce:
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1½ tsp hickory liquid smoke
  • 1½ tsp Worcestershire
  • splash of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp water

directions

  1. 1 Make the sauce by whisking all of the ingredients and then simmer for about 10 minutes. Makes enough for 4 burgers, so double it for a crowd.
  2. 2 Form the beef into patties and season both sides well with salt & pepper.
  3. 3 Preheat Grill, then turn to medium heat once you put your burgers on. Close the lid and cook for about 4 minutes per side, adjusting for thickness.
  4. 4 Add the cheese once you flip your burger so it melts into the patty.
  5. 5 Cook the bacon until hot and crispy, I like to do mine in the oven under the broiler and grill the buns.
  6. 6 Assemble your Burger and enjoy!

hickory bbq bacon burger

Any time we go to JCW’s, I don’t even glance at the menu. The Hickory BBQ Bacon Burger, every single time. I enjoy it thoroughly, time and time again… so it only seemed right to make my own copycat version at home with my favorite ground beef 😜
